Ingredients
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
½ cup milk
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups apples, peeled and chopped
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter for the streusel topping. Mix until crumbly and set aside.
2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
4. In another bowl, beat the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
6. Fold in the chopped apples gently, being careful not to overmix.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
8. Sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the batter.
9. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Let the bread cool fully before slicing to avoid crumbling.
Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best texture.
To freeze, wrap slices in parchment and store in a zip bag for up to 2 months.
