Description

This Bang Bang Fried Rice recipe is a quick and flavorful dinner featuring spicy bang bang sauce, crispy fried rice, shrimp or chicken, and eggs. It’s the perfect way to use leftover rice and get a restaurant-style dish in minutes. Great for weeknights and packed with creamy, spicy, and savory flavor.

Ingredients

2 cups cold cooked rice

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 eggs

1 cup cooked shrimp or chicken

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp or chicken and sauté until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

2. Add eggs to the same pan and scramble until just cooked. Push to one side of the pan.

3. Add garlic to the pan and stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the cold rice and press into the pan. Let it crisp for 1-2 minutes before stirring. Repeat for more crispy bits.

4. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Pour this sauce over the rice and toss to coat.

5. Return the protein to the pan and stir in green onions and soy sauce. Cook 1-2 minutes more, taste and adjust as needed. Serve hot.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best texture.

Add more or less sriracha depending on your spice preference.

Top with sesame seeds or extra sauce if desired.
