Description

This BANG BANG Shrimp Pasta recipe is a bold and creamy seafood pasta dish made with crispy shrimp tossed in a spicy sweet chili sauce over linguine or spaghetti. It’s the perfect easy dinner idea for shrimp lovers, with bold flavor, quick cook time, and restaurant-quality results. Ideal for weeknight dinners or entertaining, this spicy shrimp pasta is loaded with comfort and zest.

Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti or linguine

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1/2 cup cornstarch

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust to taste)

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water.

2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and garlic until smooth. Adjust Sriracha to desired spice level.

3. Toss shrimp with cornstarch until fully coated.

4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy and pink.

5. Add pasta to the skillet, then pour in the sauce. Toss until evenly coated.

6. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce needs loosening.

7. Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and extra Sriracha if desired.

Notes

This recipe works great with gluten-free pasta or zucchini noodles.

Don’t overcook the shrimp — 2 to 3 minutes per side is just right.

Add extra garlic or a dash of lime juice for a tangy twist.
