Description

This BBQ Cheddar Meatloaf recipe is the ultimate comfort food classic with a twist. Juicy ground beef, sharp cheddar cheese, and smoky BBQ sauce come together in a moist and flavorful meatloaf that’s perfect for family dinners. Easy to make, freezer-friendly, and packed with bold flavor, it’s a cheesy meatloaf recipe everyone will ask for again.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced onion

1/4 cup milk

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (divided)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, shredded cheddar, onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce, half the BBQ sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.

3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf in your prepared pan or on the baking sheet.

4. Brush the top of the loaf with the remaining BBQ sauce.

5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.

6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Moisture matters—don’t skip the milk, it helps create a tender texture.

Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt and flavor.

Resting the meatloaf before slicing ensures juicy, clean cuts.
