Description

This Bowtie Pasta with Creamy Cajun Chicken and Mozzarella Cheese Sauce is a flavorful, cheesy, and slightly spicy comfort food perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings. Loaded with tender Cajun-seasoned chicken and smothered in a rich mozzarella and Parmesan cream sauce, this one-skillet pasta meal is satisfying and easy to make.

Ingredients

225g bowtie pasta

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

3 garlic cloves minced

1 ½ cups heavy cream

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning on both sides.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute.

5. Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

6. Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, whisking until melted and smooth.

7. Add salt and pepper to taste.

8. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet. Add the drained pasta and toss everything to coat evenly.

9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Always cook your pasta just until al dente so it holds up well in the sauce.

Use freshly grated cheese for a smoother, creamier sauce.

Add a splash of milk when reheating leftovers to revive the creamy consistency.
