Description

Breakfast Crescent Rolls are a quick and easy breakfast recipe made with buttery crescent dough, fluffy eggs, savory sausage, and melted cheddar cheese. These cheesy breakfast crescent rolls are perfect for busy mornings, weekend brunch, meal prep, and family breakfasts when you want something warm, flaky, and satisfying.

Ingredients

1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough

8 ounces breakfast sausage

5 large eggs

2 tablespoons milk

1 tablespoon butter

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons chopped green onions

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, then drain the extra grease.

3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.

4. Melt the butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat and cook the eggs gently until softly scrambled.

5. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions.

6. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.

7. Spoon a portion of filling onto the wide end of each triangle.

8. Roll each triangle toward the pointed end and place seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.

9. Bake for 11 to 14 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed and golden brown.

10. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

These rolls bake best when the filling is fully cooked and not too wet.

For extra flavor, brush the tops with a little melted butter before baking.

Leftovers reheat best in the oven or air fryer so the crescent dough stays flaky.
