Description

This Cajun garlic butter steak over creamy parmesan linguine recipe is a spicy, buttery, and ultra-creamy pasta dish perfect for steak lovers. Featuring tender seared steak and a rich cheese sauce, it’s a cozy weeknight dinner or special meal that blends Cajun spice with parmesan perfection. Easy, bold, and satisfying.

Ingredients

1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or strip)

8 oz linguine

3 tbsp butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the linguine until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Pat the steak dry and season it with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side. Let it rest.

3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens. Add reserved pasta water as needed.

5. Toss cooked linguine into the sauce and mix well. Season to taste with additional salt and pepper.

6. Slice the rested steak against the grain and serve it on top of the creamy pasta. Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan if desired.

Notes

Let the steak rest before slicing to keep it juicy.

Add a splash of pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.

Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
