Ingredients
2 large Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples
20 soft caramel candies, unwrapped
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup assorted toppings (nuts, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, etc.)
Instructions
1. Wash and dry the apples, then slice them into thick wedges and remove any seeds.
2. Brush the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning and pat dry.
3. Insert a popsicle stick or sturdy toothpick into each slice for easy dipping.
4. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the caramel candies with heavy cream, stirring until smooth.
5. Dip each apple slice into the warm caramel, let excess drip off, then place on a parchment-lined tray.
6. Add your toppings while the caramel is still soft.
7. Chill the slices in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes until set.
8. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
