Ingredients
1 lb twisted pasta (rotini or fusilli)
1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Boil the twisted pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add Cajun seasoning and stir to combine. Remove beef and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
4. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Velveeta until fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
5. Add cooked pasta and Cajun ground beef to the sauce. Toss until evenly coated. Use reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with parsley or extra cheese if desired.
Notes
This pasta reheats well—just add a splash of cream when warming.
Adjust the Cajun spice level to your liking for milder or bolder flavor.
Try adding baby spinach or mushrooms for a veggie boost.
