Description

Ingredients

2 cups crushed pretzels

¾ cup melted butter

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

½ cup granulated sugar

8 ounces whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Crush pretzels using a food processor or by hand with a rolling pin.

2. In a bowl, mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons sugar.

3. Press the pretzel mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish to form a crust.

4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.

5. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and ½ cup sugar until smooth.

6. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.

7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust, sealing the edges.

8. Spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the top layer.

9. Chill for at least 2 hours before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

Make sure the crust cools completely before adding the cream cheese layer.

Seal the edges well with the cream layer to prevent the topping from seeping through.
