Craving something warm, sweet, and utterly satisfying? Whether you’re looking for quick dessert ideas, a fun baking project, or simply the best chocolate chip cookie recipe out there, this one hits the sweet spot every single time.

Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers look just set.
  9. Let cookies cool on the pan for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
