Description

A melt-in-your-mouth holiday cookie, these Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies are buttery, tender, and rolled in powdered sugar. Perfect for winter baking, cookie trays, or gift boxes. Includes mini chocolate chips and optional pecans for a crunchy twist.


Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

0.5 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2.25 cups all-purpose flour

0.25 teaspoon salt

0.75 cup mini chocolate chips

0.5 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)


Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Mix in the vanilla extract.

3. Gradually add in the flour and salt until just combined.

4. Fold in mini chocolate chips and chopped pecans.

5. Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

6. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

7. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.

8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until bottoms are lightly golden.

9. While warm, roll cookies in powdered sugar and place on a wire rack.

10. Once cooled, roll in powdered sugar again before serving.

Notes

These cookies are even better the next day after flavors meld.

Use mini chocolate chips for the best texture.

Dust cookies a second time after cooling for the perfect snowball look.
