Description

These chopped cheeseburger biscuits are the ultimate comfort food mashup. Made with seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar cheese, and golden biscuit dough, they’re perfect for parties, weeknight dinners, or kid-friendly snacks. Quick to prepare and freezer-friendly, this easy cheeseburger biscuit recipe delivers big flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)

2 tablespoons ketchup (optional)

2 tablespoons mustard (optional)

1/4 cup diced pickles (optional)

Instructions

1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.

2. Add chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.

3. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.

4. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted into the beef mixture.

5. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

6. Open the biscuit can and separate each biscuit. Flatten each one slightly to create a disk.

7. Spoon a heaping tablespoon of beef mixture into the center of each biscuit. Add ketchup, mustard, or pickles if using.

8. Fold the biscuit dough around the filling and pinch edges to seal. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.

9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and puffed.

10. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

These freeze well before baking. Just freeze individually and bake from frozen when needed.

Great for party platters, especially with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or ranch.

You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based crumbles.
