Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 cups powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Stir in milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.
4. In a separate bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to form the filling.
5. Pour cake batter into prepared baking dish.
6. Drop spoonfuls of cinnamon filling over the top and swirl with a knife.
7. Bake for 32 to 35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
8. While cake bakes, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze.
9. Drizzle glaze over warm cake immediately after removing from oven.
10. Serve warm and enjoy the gooey cinnamon swirls.
