Description

This Copycat Texas Roadhouse Seasoned Rice is a buttery, savory side dish made with long grain rice, pantry spices, and chicken broth. Perfect for pairing with grilled meats or vegetables, this easy restaurant-style rice recipe is ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

1 cup long grain white rice

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 cups chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and add the uncooked rice. Stir frequently and toast for 3–4 minutes until lightly golden.

2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to coat the rice evenly.

3. Pour in chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer for 15 to 18 minutes.

4. Remove from heat, keep covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Use low-sodium chicken broth to control salt levels.

For a spicier kick, increase the cayenne pepper.

Basmati or jasmine rice work well as alternatives to long grain white rice.
