Description
Cream Cheese Chicken is an easy and creamy one-pan dinner recipe made with tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich cream cheese sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights, it’s low carb, comforting, and packed with flavor. Serve it with pasta, rice, or veggies for a complete family meal.
Ingredients
2 large chicken breasts
4 oz cream cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sear until golden brown, about 5–6 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
2. Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Pour in chicken broth and deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits.
4. Add cream cheese to the skillet and stir until smooth and well combined with the broth.
5. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it. Cover and simmer for 5–10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
6. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the chicken before serving.
Notes
Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest texture.
If your chicken breasts are thick, consider slicing them in half lengthwise or pounding them evenly.
You can add baby spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor and nutrition.
