1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Cook the Meat: Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess grease if needed.
- Prepare the Sauce: Stir in the beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with green chilies, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a gentle simmer and let cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add the Cream and Cheese: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Slowly add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until melted and creamy.
- Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet, stirring until evenly coated in the sauce. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes for the flavors to meld.
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley or basil if desired, and serve hot.
