Description

Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts

3 tablespoons salted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon lemon juice

3/4 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)


Instructions

1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add garlic, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.

4. Stir in Dijon mustard and lemon juice.

5. Pour in the heavy cream slowly, whisking until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.

6. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Let simmer for 3–4 minutes to absorb flavor.

7. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top.

8. Serve hot with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread.

Notes

This dish reheats beautifully, just add a splash of broth or cream.

Chicken thighs can be substituted for extra juiciness.

Serve over starches like pasta or rice for a complete meal.
