Ingredients
1 pound bowtie pasta (farfalle)
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound Italian sausage
4 cups fresh baby spinach
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet or deep sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and Italian sausage (remove casings if needed). Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking up meat. Transfer to a plate and drain excess fat.
3. In the same pan, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4. Pour in heavy cream and stir with the garlic butter. Simmer for a few minutes, then add Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth and creamy.
5. Return the meat to the skillet. Add spinach and stir until wilted. Add cooked pasta and toss everything together. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm, with extra Parmesan on top if desired.
