Description

A quick and delicious Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp Bowl with Herb Rice that’s rich, flavorful, and ready in 30 minutes. Perfect for a weeknight seafood dinner, this shrimp rice bowl recipe combines buttery garlic sauce with fresh herbs and tender shrimp for a comforting, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

1 cup white jasmine or basmati rice

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once done, fluff with a fork and stir in parsley, thyme, olive oil, and a pinch of salt.

2. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and lightly golden. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice, letting it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

4. Return the shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce until fully coated and warmed through.

5. Spoon the herb rice into serving bowls, top with shrimp, and garnish with more fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

Use fresh garlic instead of pre-minced for the best flavor.

For extra brightness, add lemon zest to the rice.

Don’t overcook the shrimp—remove as soon as they turn pink and curl slightly.
