Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp Italian seasoning
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
¼ cup chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Brown the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart as it browns. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Once fully cooked, drain excess grease and set aside.
- Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the Cheese: Lower the heat and gradually add grated parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of reserved pasta water to loosen it. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Combine Everything: Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and mix it into the sauce. Add the drained pasta and toss until fully coated. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to blend flavors.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and top with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with extra parmesan and black pepper. Enjoy!
