Description

Creamy Spinach Mushroom Shrimp Shells is a comforting and flavorful creamy pasta recipe loaded with shrimp, mushrooms, spinach, and garlic cream sauce. This easy shrimp pasta is perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy weekend meals. With bold textures and fresh ingredients, it’s a must-try seafood pasta dish.

Ingredients

8 oz medium shell pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 cups fresh spinach

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 cup heavy cream

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp butter

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Cook shell pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and sauté until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add a bit more butter if needed. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque. Set aside.

4. Add minced garlic to skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted and sauce begins to thicken.

6. Add spinach and cook until wilted. Add a splash of pasta water if needed to loosen sauce.

7. Return pasta, mushrooms, and shrimp to skillet. Toss to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning if needed.

8. Serve hot with extra Parmesan on top if desired.

Notes

Always reserve pasta water in case the sauce needs thinning.

Avoid using pre-cooked shrimp to prevent a rubbery texture.

Fresh spinach wilts quickly, so add it at the end.
