Ingredients
1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin)
8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Season steak with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
2. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Sear steak on both sides until browned and cooked to your preference. Remove and rest.
4. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
6. Pour in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened.
7. Add parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
8. Toss cooked pasta into the cream sauce and stir to coat.
9. Slice the rested steak and place it over the pasta.
10. Serve hot, optionally garnished with extra parmesan or fresh herbs.
Notes
Let the steak rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
Use freshly grated parmesan for the best melt and flavor.
Reheat leftovers slowly with a splash of cream or milk to revive the sauce.
