Description

These Crock Pot Chicken Legs are juicy, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone tender. Perfect for a simple family dinner or meal prep, this slow cooker recipe combines barbecue sauce, honey, and spices to create an irresistible chicken dish. A go-to for comfort food lovers and easy weeknight meals.

Ingredients

8 chicken legs

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup barbecue sauce

2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

1. Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels.

2. In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

3. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken legs.

4. Place the chicken in the crock pot in a single layer if possible.

5. Mix barbecue sauce and honey in a bowl, then pour over the chicken.

6. Cover and cook on low for 5โ€“6 hours or high for 3โ€“4 hours.

7. For crispier skin, transfer cooked chicken legs to a baking sheet, brush with sauce, and broil for 3โ€“5 minutes.

8. Serve warm with remaining sauce spooned on top.

Notes

Use bone-in, skin-on chicken legs for best results.

You can swap honey for maple syrup if preferred.

Broiling at the end adds delicious caramelization and texture.
