Ingredients
2.5 lbs beef chuck roast
1 cup beef broth
1 packet onion soup mix
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
12 slider buns
6 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons melted butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon cooking oil (for searing)
Instructions
1. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add cooking oil and sear the roast on all sides until browned.
3. Transfer the roast to the crockpot. Add beef broth, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic.
4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the roast is fork-tender.
5. Remove the roast and shred the meat with two forks, discarding excess fat.
6. Lightly toast slider buns if desired.
7. Pile shredded beef onto the bottom halves of the buns and top with cheese slices.
8. Place the tops of the buns on, then brush with melted butter.
9. Bake the sliders in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and tops are golden.
10. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use provolone or Swiss cheese for best melting and flavor.
Searing the roast adds extra depth and flavor to the beef.
You can make the beef a day ahead and reheat before assembling.
