Description

This Deep Hamburger Sausage & Pepperoni Pie recipe is the ultimate comfort food, packed with bold meaty layers, tangy tomato sauce, gooey cheese, and a buttery golden crust. Ideal for family dinners, meal prep, or hearty entertaining, this savory pie blends beef, sausage, and pepperoni for a filling, satisfying main dish. Keywords: hamburger pie, meat lovers pie, sausage pepperoni pie, deep dish dinner, savory meat pie.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/2 pound Italian sausage

20 slices pepperoni

1 small onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 14-ounce can crushed tomatoes

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 9-inch deep-dish pie crust

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Press the pie crust into a deep-dish pie pan and chill it while you prepare the filling.

2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3 minutes.

4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors combine.

5. Take the crust from the fridge. Spoon in half the meat mixture, followed by a layer of pepperoni and mozzarella. Repeat the layering once more and top with Parmesan.

6. Cover the pie with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.

7. Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before slicing to allow it to set properly.

Notes

Letting the pie cool before slicing keeps the layers intact.

You can use pre-made crust or homemade—both work great.

For a spicier version, use hot Italian sausage or add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
