Description
Creamy, quick, and comforting, this Easy Creamed Corn recipe makes the perfect side dish for any meal. Made with frozen corn, heavy cream, and pantry staples, it’s a family favorite ready in 15 minutes. Ideal for Thanksgiving, barbecues, or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
3 cups frozen corn
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the frozen corn and cook for 3–4 minutes until warmed through and lightly golden.
2. Sprinkle the flour over the corn and stir well to coat. Let it cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour flavor.
3. Gradually pour in the milk and heavy cream while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
4. Add the sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and let it simmer gently for 5–8 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the corn.
5. Remove from heat and serve warm. Add extra cracked black pepper on top if desired.
Notes
Use fresh corn when in season for an even sweeter flavor.
Add a pinch of garlic powder for extra depth.
If reheating, add a splash of milk to loosen the creaminess.
