Ingredients
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup plain Greek yogurt
⅓ cup milk
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in yogurt, milk, and olive oil until a dough forms.
2. Knead the dough briefly on a floured surface until smooth.
3. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.
4. While dough rests, melt butter in a small saucepan and add minced garlic. Let it sizzle until fragrant. Set aside.
5. Divide dough into six equal pieces. Roll each into a ball, then flatten and roll into ovals about ¼ inch thick.
6. Heat a skillet over medium-high. Place a rolled-out naan onto the skillet and cook for 1–2 minutes until bubbles form. Flip and cook the other side for another minute.
7. Brush cooked naan with garlic butter and sprinkle with parsley. Repeat for all pieces.
Notes
Let the dough rest to ensure easier rolling and better texture.
Use a hot skillet to mimic tandoor-style cooking.
Brush garlic butter immediately after cooking for best flavor absorption.
