Description
This easy meatball recipe is the perfect homemade comfort food. Juicy and flavorful meatballs made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and herbs — great for spaghetti, subs, or appetizers. A family favorite and weeknight dinner go-to!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
2. Using your hands or a cookie scoop, shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs in batches, browning on all sides until fully cooked, about 8 to 10 minutes.
4. Alternatively, bake at 400°F for 15–20 minutes on a lined baking sheet for a healthier version.
5. Serve over pasta, in sandwiches, or enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Let the meat mixture rest for 5 minutes before shaping to help the breadcrumbs absorb moisture.
Uniform sizing helps the meatballs cook evenly.
If baking, use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
