Ingredients

1 ½ pounds ground beef

1 box stuffing mix (dry, 6 oz)

2 large eggs

¾ cup water

½ cup ketchup (plus extra for glaze)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan or baking dish.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, dry stuffing mix, eggs, water, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.

3. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in the prepared dish.

5. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.

6. Remove from the oven and spread ketchup over the top.

7. Return to the oven and bake an additional 15 minutes until glaze is sticky and cooked through.

8. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
