Ingredients
1 lb cheese tortellini
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
3 cups baby spinach
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
1 cup heavy cream
3 tbsp butter
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned. Drain most of the fat, leaving a bit for flavor.
2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
3. Reduce heat and stir in butter until melted. Pour in heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes to thicken.
4. In a separate pot, cook the tortellini according to the package directions. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
5. Add the tortellini to the skillet along with a splash of the reserved pasta water. Stir in baby spinach and parmesan cheese until the spinach wilts and the dish is well combined.
6. Serve warm with additional parmesan and black pepper on top.
