Description

Garlic Parmesan Green Bean Casserole Cups are a modern twist on the classic holiday side, made in phyllo shells with creamy mushroom and green bean filling, seasoned with garlic and Parmesan. Perfect for Thanksgiving appetizers, party bites, or potluck favorites. These bite-sized casserole cups are easy to serve and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

1 cup chopped green beans (blanched)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 oz cream cheese (softened)

1/4 cup sour cream

1/2 cup cooked mushrooms (finely chopped)

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

15 mini phyllo cups (or mini tart shells)

1/3 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

1. Trim and chop the green beans into small pieces. Blanch in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath. Drain and pat dry.

2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the mushrooms in a bit of oil or butter until browned. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 more minute.

3. In a large bowl, mix green beans, cooked mushrooms, garlic, cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, salt, and pepper until combined.

4. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Arrange the phyllo cups on a baking sheet. Fill each with a generous spoonful of the green bean mixture.

5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are golden and filling is bubbly.

6. Remove from oven and top each with crispy fried onions. Serve warm.

Notes

These are perfect for Thanksgiving or holiday gatherings.

Use fresh green beans for the best texture, but frozen works too.

You can prepare the filling a day in advance and fill just before baking.
