¼ teaspoon salt
Green food coloring (as needed)
24 red heart sprinkles
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
6. Add green food coloring and mix until evenly colored.
7. Scoop dough into balls and flatten slightly on the baking sheet.
8. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
9. While cookies are still warm, gently press a red heart sprinkle into the top center.
10. Let cool completely before storing or serving.
Notes
Use gel food coloring for a more vibrant green.
Don’t overbake – cookies should be soft in the middle.
Heart sprinkles stick best when added while cookies are still warm.
