Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
12 ounces pasta (penne or rotini)
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups tomato sauce
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil. Sauté chopped onion until soft, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
2. Add ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a spoon and cook until fully browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
3. Stir in the tomato sauce and beef broth, mixing well.
4. Add the pasta and bring everything to a gentle boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes until the pasta is tender. Stir occasionally.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, uncover and cook a few minutes longer if you want a thicker sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning.
6. Serve warm with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top, if desired.
