This Heavenly Chicken Mushroom Pasta is a creamy, comforting dish with tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and a luscious Parmesan sauce. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner, this pasta recipe will quickly become your go-to comfort meal.
Ingredients
12 oz pasta
2 chicken breasts
8 oz mushrooms
1 cup heavy cream
3 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet, sear chicken 5–7 minutes per side. Remove and slice.
3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and cook mushrooms until golden, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
4. Reduce heat, pour in heavy cream, and simmer until thickened. Stir in Parmesan, season to taste.
5. Add pasta and sliced chicken to skillet, toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed. Serve warm, garnished with more Parmesan and black pepper.
Notes
Use cremini, button, or baby bella mushrooms for the best flavor.
Reserve some pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.
Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra color and flavor.
