Description
Seriously Fudgy Homemade Brownies are rich, dense, ultra chocolatey dessert bars with a crackly top and a soft center, making them the perfect homemade brownies recipe for chocolate lovers, easy dessert cravings, bake sales, and holiday treats.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat or in the microwave, then let it cool slightly.
3. Stir the granulated sugar and cocoa powder into the melted butter until thick and glossy.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Fold in the flour and salt just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
6. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips so they are evenly distributed through the batter.
7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
8. Bake for 28 to 34 minutes, until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.
9. Let the brownies cool completely before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
For the fudgiest texture, do not overbake the brownies.
Letting the brownies cool fully will give you cleaner slices and a denser center.
You can add chopped walnuts or extra chocolate chips if you want even more texture and richness.
