Description

Bright, zesty, and packed with bold herbs, this homemade chimichurri sauce is the perfect condiment for grilled steak, roasted vegetables, and more. Make it fresh in minutes with parsley, garlic, red wine vinegar, and olive oil. The ultimate Argentinian flavor booster!

Ingredients

1 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

0.5 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes

0.5 teaspoon salt, or to taste

Instructions

1. Finely chop the parsley and garlic, or pulse them in a food processor for a smoother consistency.

2. In a bowl, mix the parsley, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes.

3. Stir in the red wine vinegar and let the mixture sit for 5–10 minutes.

4. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while stirring continuously to combine.

5. Add salt to taste and let the sauce rest for at least 15 minutes before serving to deepen the flavors.

6. Serve with grilled meats, vegetables, or as a condiment for bread or potatoes.

Notes

Let the sauce sit before serving for the best flavor.

Use flat-leaf parsley for a cleaner taste.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 1 week in an airtight container.
