Description

This Homemade Cranberry Honey Butter is a sweet and tangy spread made with real butter, fresh cranberries, and honey. Perfect for toast, muffins, or holiday brunch, this easy cranberry compound butter adds festive flair to any meal. Great for gifting, too!

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)

3 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)

1 pinch salt

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook the cranberries with a tablespoon of water for 5 to 7 minutes until they burst and soften. Let them cool slightly.

2. In a food processor or using a hand mixer, blend the softened butter, cooled cranberries, honey, and orange zest (if using) until smooth and fully combined.

3. Taste the butter and adjust with a pinch of salt or more honey as desired. Blend again.

4. Transfer to a jar or bowl. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for a smoother blend.

Frozen cranberries work great if fresh ones are out of season.

Add more honey for extra sweetness or orange zest for a citrus twist.
