Baked mini donuts brushed with melted butter and served warm.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons butter, melted (plus extra for brushing)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin or mini donut pan.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
3. Add milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter to the bowl. Stir until smooth.
4. Spoon the batter into the pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
6. While still warm, brush the tops generously with melted butter. Serve immediately.
Notes
Brushing with butter immediately after baking helps the donuts absorb flavor.
You can coat them in cinnamon sugar right after brushing with butter.
Try using a piping bag for more even shapes if not using a donut pan.
