Description

Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is a rich, moist, chocolate-packed dessert loaf that combines the decadence of a brownie with the comfort of homemade bread. Perfect for holidays or everyday indulgence, this easy one-bowl recipe is layered with hot fudge, melted chocolate chips, and cocoa for an irresistible fudgy treat.


Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup chocolate chips or chunks

1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (plus extra for topping)


Instructions

1. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.

3. Add eggs, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla to the dry mixture. Stir until smooth.

4. Fold in chocolate chips, reserving some for topping if desired.

5. Pour half of the batter into the pan, spoon half of the hot fudge over, swirl. Add remaining batter and top with more hot fudge. Swirl again.

6. Bake 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.

7. Let cool in pan 15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

This bread is best served warm for a gooey center.

You can substitute sour cream for buttermilk in a pinch.

For extra chocolate intensity, use dark chocolate chunks.
