Description

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef

4 slices white bread

1 cup milk

2 eggs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

1 teaspoon dry mustard

3/4 cup ketchup

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)


Instructions

1. Tear the bread slices into small pieces and soak in milk in a large bowl. Let them sit until softened.

2. Add ground beef, eggs, Parmesan, salt, pepper, seasoned salt, dry mustard, and parsley to the bread and milk mixture. Mix until just combined.

3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place on a lined baking sheet or loaf pan.

4. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

5. In a bowl, stir together ketchup, brown sugar, and hot sauce if using.

6. Spread the glaze over the meatloaf and return to the oven for 15–20 more minutes.

7. Remove from oven and let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
