Description

These London Fog Rolls combine the cozy flavors of Earl Grey tea, vanilla, and a touch of lavender in a soft, fluffy cinnamon-roll style pastry. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or afternoon tea, this recipe brings the essence of a classic London Fog latte into a delicious sweet bake. Keywords: London Fog Rolls, Earl Grey Rolls, Tea Infused Cinnamon Rolls, Vanilla Bergamot Buns.

Ingredients

1 cup whole milk

2 bags or 2 tsp Earl Grey tea

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk (tea-infused)

Instructions

1. Warm the milk in a small saucepan until steaming, then steep the Earl Grey tea for 10 minutes. Remove tea and let milk cool slightly.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the warm tea-infused milk with granulated sugar and yeast. Let it sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.

3. Add eggs, melted butter, and salt. Stir in flour gradually until a dough forms. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.

4. In a bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, finely ground tea or steeped tea liquid, and vanilla until smooth.

5. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, and roll tightly. Slice into 12 rolls and place in greased dish. Let rise for 30–40 minutes.

6. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden. Let cool slightly.

7. Whisk cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and tea-infused milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

These are best served warm but can be reheated.

Use high-quality Earl Grey for strongest flavor.

Let the tea steep fully for rich infusion.
