Description
This Maple Garlic Chicken Bites with Spicy Cajun Alfredo recipe is a bold fusion of sweet maple, rich garlic, and spicy Cajun cream sauce tossed with tender chicken and pasta. A perfect comfort food dinner idea for weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast or thighs
1/3 cup maple syrup
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 tbsp butter
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
8 oz pasta of choice (fettuccine, penne, or rotini)
Instructions
1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
3. Lower the heat, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Once fragrant, stir in maple syrup and let it simmer slightly. Add chicken back in and coat with glaze.
4. Cook pasta according to package instructions, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
5. In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic. Add heavy cream and simmer, then stir in Parmesan and Cajun seasoning. Thin with pasta water if needed.
6. Toss pasta with Alfredo sauce and top with maple garlic chicken or mix it all together.
7. Garnish with Parmesan, parsley, or red pepper flakes. Serve hot.
Notes
Maple syrup should be pure for the richest glaze.
Use chicken thighs for juicier results or breasts for a leaner option.
Add extra Cajun seasoning if you love heat, or reduce for a milder dish.
