Description

One-Pan Creamy Sweet and Spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta is a flavorful one-skillet dinner made with Cajun-seasoned chicken, tender pasta, and a creamy sauce with a touch of honey. This easy and comforting dish brings a bold kick and a sweet balance, perfect for weeknight meals or casual entertaining. Keywords: cajun chicken pasta, creamy cajun pasta, one pan chicken pasta, spicy chicken pasta.

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1.5 cups heavy cream

1 tablespoon honey (or brown sugar)

2 cups chicken broth

8 ounces penne or rigatoni pasta

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with Cajun seasoning, and sear until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add garlic and red bell pepper. Sauté until fragrant and slightly soft.

3. Pour in chicken broth and stir, scraping up any brown bits. Add heavy cream and honey. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.

4. Add uncooked pasta to the skillet. Stir to submerge it and simmer on low heat for 12–15 minutes until tender and the sauce thickens.

5. Return cooked chicken to the pan. Add Parmesan and stir to combine. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

6. Serve hot, garnished with parsley or extra cheese if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the spice level by reducing or increasing the Cajun seasoning.

Add a splash of broth or cream when reheating to restore the sauce’s texture.

Substitute shrimp or sausage for chicken to change it up.
