Ingredients

200g paneer, cubed

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp chili powder

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

2 tbsp butter

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 cup tomato puree

1/2 cup heavy cream

Salt to taste

2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander

Instructions

1. Cut the paneer into cubes and set aside.

2. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric, chili powder, and ginger garlic paste.

3. Add paneer cubes into the marinade and mix well to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

4. Skewer and grill the paneer until golden and slightly charred, or bake at 400°F for 20 minutes. Broil for a few minutes for extra smokiness.

5. In a pan, heat butter and sauté onions until golden brown.

6. Add ginger garlic paste and cook until fragrant.

7. Stir in the tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes until thick.

8. Add garam masala, salt, and heavy cream. Stir until well combined.

9. Add grilled paneer to the sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

10. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander and serve hot.

Notes

Paneer can be grilled on a pan, in the oven, or over an open flame for extra char.

Marinate overnight for deeper flavor.

Add a splash of cream or water when reheating to maintain texture.
