Description

This Plum & Cheese Puff Pastry Tarts recipe is the perfect easy dessert made with fresh plums, creamy cheese filling, and flaky golden pastry. Ideal for summer entertaining or weekend baking. Try this fruit tart recipe that’s quick, delicious, and visually stunning.


Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry

4 oz cream cheese

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 ripe plums

1 egg yolk

1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional)


Instructions

1. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 6 equal rectangles. Score a border and prick the centers with a fork.

2. In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

3. Spread the cheese mixture within the inner border of each rectangle.

4. Slice plums thinly and arrange in a fan shape over the cream cheese layer.

5. Beat egg yolk and brush the outer edges of each tart.

6. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes or until golden and puffed.

7. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Tarts are best served fresh on the day of baking.

Use ripe but firm plums to keep their shape while baking.

Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in a toaster oven for crispiness.
