Ingredients
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 apple, peeled and sliced into 8 wedges
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Peel and slice apple into 8 equal wedges.
3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
4. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles on baking sheet.
5. Place an apple slice on the wide end of each triangle.
6. Spoon a small amount of cinnamon butter mixture over each apple.
7. Roll up each triangle from wide end to point, wrapping the apple slice.
8. Brush tops with remaining cinnamon butter and sprinkle chopped nuts if using.
9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Let cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm.
