Description

This Salted Caramel Brownie Cheesecake Trifle is a rich layered dessert made with fudgy brownie cubes, creamy cheesecake filling, fluffy whipped cream, and ribbons of salted caramel sauce. Perfect for parties, holidays, or family gatherings, this easy trifle dessert combines chocolate brownies, no bake cheesecake cream, and caramel drizzle into a beautiful layered treat that serves a crowd.

Ingredients

4 cups brownie cubes

16 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

1 cup salted caramel sauce

1/4 tsp sea salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips or chocolate shavings

2 cups whipped topping

Instructions

1. Bake brownies according to package or recipe instructions and allow them to cool completely. Cut into small bite sized cubes.

2. In a mixing bowl beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese and mix until fully combined and fluffy.

4. In a separate bowl whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture to create a light cheesecake filling.

6. If the caramel sauce is thick, warm it slightly so it becomes easy to drizzle.

7. Add a layer of brownie cubes to the bottom of a trifle dish or dessert glasses.

8. Spoon a layer of cheesecake filling over the brownies.

9. Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer.

10. Add a light layer of whipped topping if desired.

11. Repeat the layers of brownies, cheesecake filling, caramel, and whipped topping until the dish is filled.

12. Finish with whipped topping, chocolate chips or shavings, extra caramel drizzle, and a small sprinkle of sea salt.

13. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving so the layers set properly.

Notes

This dessert can be prepared one day in advance and stored covered in the refrigerator.

Use homemade brownies or a quality boxed brownie mix depending on your preference.

For individual servings assemble the trifle in small dessert glasses or mason jars.
