Ingredients
1 pound breakfast sausage
8 ounces cream cheese
2 cans crescent roll dough
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped green onions or diced jalapeños (optional)
Instructions
1. Brown the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain the grease and transfer sausage to a bowl.
2. Add the cream cheese to the warm sausage and mix until fully melted and combined. Stir in cheddar cheese or other add-ins if using.
3. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Lay them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
4. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling onto the wide end of each triangle and roll it up toward the point. Tuck the sides to seal.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 11–13 minutes until golden brown.
6. Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Let rolls cool before storing to prevent sogginess.
Use full-fat cream cheese for a richer filling.
Add spice with jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
