Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
¾ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¾ cup freeze-dried strawberries (crushed)
½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Cream together the unsalted butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
4. Fold in the crushed freeze-dried strawberries and optional white chocolate chips.
5. Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill for 30 minutes.
6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
8. Cool for 5 minutes on the tray before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use freeze-dried strawberries, not fresh, to prevent sogginess.
Chilling the dough helps the cookies stay thick and chewy.
For extra flavor, add a tablespoon of crushed graham crackers.
